Get a Stunning, Natural-Looking Smile with All-on-Four Dental Implants

While traditional dentures rest on your gums, all-on-four dentures are attached to dental implants. The dental implants are titanium posts that, as they heal, fuse with your jawbone to form a stable base for your dentures to attach to. The stronger base keeps your dentures from shifting and gives you the opportunity to chew with more pressure.

All-on-four implant-supported dentures do not shift around, meaning you will not have to deal with your dentures ever falling out in public. They allow you to eat with freedom and bless you with teeth that look and feel natural. If properly cared for, implant supported dentures can last a lifetime, and so can your comfort and beauty.

All-on-Four Implant-Supported Dentures- How Do They Work?

To make models for your dentures, Dr. Tredinick will first review your medical and dental records during your initial visit, then take digital X-rays of your jaw and produce impressions of your teeth and gums.

While waiting for your all-on-four dentures to be ready, the doctor can make you a set of temporary dentures if you don’t already have a set. The temporary dentures can be used immediately, and they allow Dr. Tredinick to deduce the best placement for your final dentures. They are also useful as backup dentures.

The All-on-Four Dental Implant Process

The doctor first inserts titanium dental implants into the jaw bone. The implants create a strong, stable base that your dentures snap into rather than using adhesives to secure your dentures to your gums by fusing with the bone of your jaw. Implant-supported dentures provide a stronger, natural-looking, stable alternative to the traditional loose dentures.

With the use of only four titanium implants on each jaw, all-on-four implant-supported dentures are a complete set of acrylic or porcelain teeth that attach to the upper or lower jaw.

This procedure requires two surgeries. The doctor places the all-on-four implants into your jawbone underneath your gums during the first surgery. After three to six months of allowing your implants to heal, a second surgery will be performed to expose the tops of the implants. At this time, the doctor will ensure your dentures fit on your implants correctly and will schedule your follow-up visits and maintenance.

Why Choose All-on-Four Dental Implants?

You will not only find it easier to speak, but you have more freedom on what you can eat, meaning you do not have to give up eating all your favorite foods.

The Tredi Dental group can answer any questions you may have regarding cost, payment plans or insurance coverage as there is a difference in cost between traditional dentures and all-on-4 implant-supported dentures. Although the process may take longer than getting traditional dentures, it is worth it for your comfort and freedom.
